Police Leaving No Stone Unturned as Security Ramps Up Ahead of Royal Wedding

Windsor Castle is being turned into a veritable fortress for Saturday’s royal wedding.

Heavily armed police are combing every inch of the town of Windsor with bomb-sniffing dogs. In addition, every manhole cover is being inspected and sealed.

The garbage cans have been removed all throughout the region. They’ve been replaced by clear plastic bags so police can immediately see if there are any bombs inside.

The royal wedding procession will be coming down a narrow road, leaving Harry and Meg vulnerable to an attack from above. That’s why police will be manning these rooftops, watching out for snipers.

Heightening tensions in the area is Saturday’s attack in Paris, where a man stabbed five people before he was shot dead by police officers.

“There is a robust policing plan in place with a variety of measures, some of which you can see, some of which you can’t,” Thames Valley Police Inspector Andy Amor told Inside Edition.

On Monday, Queen Elizabeth issued an “Instrument of Consent,” formally giving permission for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to marry.
