Free self-defense class for women coming to West Chester

West Chester >> Nick Deminski, candidate for state representative in the 156th District, will be hosting a free Women’s Self-Defense Class to help demonstrate lifesaving tactics in case of an emergency on April 22.

“I’m hosting this because the month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and I believe in taking action on the issue of preventing sexual and aggravated assault in our community” said Deminski, who was raised in West Chester. “This is one of the many ways I intend to serve my district and lead from the front. We’re going to demonstrate how women can defend themselves without the need of weapons.”

West Goshen resident, Curt Norcini, will be instructing the class along with Anne and Ernie Kirk, Instructors from Premier Martial Arts of West Chester. The class will take place on April 22 at 1 p.m. at Gage Strength Training, 325 Westtown Road, West Chester 19382. This event is free and contributions are appreciated. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Chester County Crime Victims Center, a local nonprofit in the West Chester Borough. RSVP is required on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/womens-self-defense-class-with-nick-deminski-tickets-449 or email Andrea Keenan at amrodgers@hotmail.com.
